Just read this...can't possibly summarize.

I originally posted this review in March of 2001, which was 3 months before we moved out of the apartment. When I logged on today to fix a typo on here, it says it was posted today (11/6/07). Just wanted to let you all know. What follows is the original review: We were assured that there would be no fleas since we have cats who have never had a flea problem. Eventually they started to scratch and leave small white flea eggs and dried blood particles all over the furniture and tables. We soon discovered we were infested by fleas. The fleas even took to biting us! We spent a good amount of money on flea products, finally finding one that worked. However, about 2 or 3 months later one of our cats became ill with worms which we were told by our vet were most likely a result of our cats having been previously infested with fleas. The fleas basically incubate the worms and transfer them to the cats through their bloodsucking. So we had to get the proper medication for them which did the trick. Our bathroom has mildew all over the floor in back of the toilet and the caulking which they had discovered when they did their inspection when we first moved in. Over this past winter we developed a handsome colony of mold around our windows. This is something we had NEVER seen before. Our refrigerator has a hole or something in it that the "inspectors" noticed but nothing was ever done about that even though they said they would "keep an eye on it." Another thing the "inspectors" said they would "keep an eye on" was our kitchen floor which has nails coming up through the linoleum. Another peculiar thing that happens once in a while is a strange brownish liquid which drips from the deck roof onto our heads. Moving the furniture into the apt. was a task that only David Copperfield could have done with no problems. There are many hard and sharp turns. They wanted to paint our decks which I thought would be very nice. However, their "painters" consisted of 16 or 17 yr old boys dragging the brush while walking next to the railing and down the stairs. The deck itself was also a one-coat job and was not swept before it was painted a cellar-floor-grayish color. Now there are "fossils" of pine needles, dirt, and other outdoorsy things embedded into it. We also feel that the rent is grossly high for such a small place when there are cheaper places which are much larger. In addition to having fleas in our rugs, which they said they "may change," the rugs are also stained with colorful red and orange hues in spots. Also be sure you don t have a dryer that needs the modern aluminum tubing for vents because here they have the white plastic/paper tubing which is quite a fire hazard if lint builds up in them or your dryer heat is too hot. One last thing...leave that kitchen table behind because there is a closet-sized "kitchen" which leaves NO possibility for a table of any size.
