The posting from 10/13 needs some clarification. I own a condo and in a condo community, the owner of a unit, which is what the Cheney Cos. was of this persons unit since they say they rented from Cheney, only has say about what happens from the interior walls in. The Condo Association is in charge from that point out. Since an A/C unit can be seen from the exterior of the building, the use of them falls under the jurisdiction of the condo association. So there is no reason to blame the Cheney Companies for not being allowed to install an A/C unit in a condo. The Cheney Companies and residents of condo units they own have to abide by the Condo Association rules just as all condo owners and/or residents do.
