To all the tenants who never had a "move-in bonus" and who are paying upwards of $1100/month as we are, how does this new Beechstone ad I just found in craigslist strike ya'' http://nh.craigslist.org/apa/1439712649.html
Basically new tenants are getting $200 reduced rent from what we pay...
And that's fair''

My thoughts are that the tenants are being treated unfaily
particularly with the Ista bills that they have no control over. Beechstone is making a huge profit on Ista. The main
office has had quite a turnover due to upper management treatment. They have had 4 Managers leave and two Maint supervisors dismissed. I feel bad for all new tenants coming in. I will be moving out shortly. They dont care about people, just money.

You should come talk to us at Cherry Hill Apartments in Newmarket...We are the same managers for over 17 years! We at SCG Management have offered "incentives" in these tough economical times, BUT, we have a policy of first making sure our current residents are taken care of. Indeed renewing residents have received incentive offers ...in writing. We care about our residents and our community, come visit us.

The one thing certain that BEECHSTONE IS MAKING MONEY ON ISTA. There were quite number of empty apartments back in March. It seems the management has successfully fooled many people in recent months and lessened the bleeding. Good luck new tenants!

As a follow-up to my original complaint (above), we ended up renewing our year lease with the standard $100 off a month's rent (woopie!). Meanwhile new tenants are coming in getting 2 months free & $50.00 off every month (rent deals subject to change daily per management!). Is this fair? Absolutely not. Is this how existing tenants (never late on rent) should be treated? We were told the only way to get a month free would be to move to a different unit - in which case they would charge a $500 transfer fee. I agree with the statements above about Beechstone profiting on ISTA. Utility bills are outrageous. I have been told that the way they profit on our heating is illegal (tho I haven't researched that yet). If any current tenants are reading this and have received any incentive to renew other than the $100 off 1 month rent, please let me know- as then the rest of us will have a leg to stand on & they will have to honor this for everyone.

I had a similar problem with Jim telling me something and then when the time came it didn't happen. I did, however, receive the $100 incentive to renew only AFTER I "made" the girl in the office note it on my account. Don't trust what they tell you unless it's in writing and signed. New management is poor and the constant turnover in the office doesn't help. If need be - contact TGM Associates in New York and deal the the district manager. I've had to a few times and it's the only way to get anything settled.
