Okay the apartment is fine, no real complaints - the rest of the place on the other hand - yikes! Parking is horrible, non-tenants are allowed to park in primary lots overnight and for days at a time, leaving nothing for those of us who pay to live here, too much might I add...several complaints made to management but nothing ever changed, I still have to park in the farthest lot when I come home from work. Plowing and snow clearing was a joke, it didn't happen until later in the day with no consideration for early risers, no attention to actually clearing the walkways well, no salt and no shovels provided so tenants could do it themselves. The people in the office weren't very helpful, never kept consistant office hours, more interested in arguing than fixing any problems. The most frustrating thing about this place it the owning/renting concept - the place is "managed" but individuals own the units, some live there while others rent them out - if you are a renter, the lines are blurred when it comes to who fixes things and who you contact about certain issues - very annoying!!! Oh fun fact - you can hear everything your upstairs and downstairs neighbors do in the bathroom - gross! And the rules change everyday about what you can and cannot do - everyone had birdfeeders up and were told to take them down (and most of these people own their homes!) and the newest rule "no shoes in the hallway" violates cultural expression. Overall these annoyances make it really not worth it, maybe if rent were a little cheaper, but probably not...

There was ONE problem with plowing and it was addressed quickly. I think this review comes from someone who would still complain if everything was done their way. I called and said the stairs were icing up and in 5 minutes someone came over and took care of it! Why not park in your car port?! You know how many people DON'T use the carport and complain there are not spaces in the front? There should be a rule about the boats and campers. I do agree that the office hours are posted and someone should be there until they say they should be. You can't get in to get a package that might have been left if they leave early. Birdfeeders I can understand. Ever have bird seed from a messy bird drop on your head while you are sitting on your deck?! No shoes in the hallway? Well I agree with that. Yes you can have your cultural differences, but if you choose to live in this country, abide by its rules, don't try to force us to change our rules to fit with your culture. I once walked out of my unit and I kid you not, there were over 30 pair of shoes across the hall outside. I thought it was a new Payless store that opened up! Got a repair problem? I suggest you ask your unit owner who to call and what they would like you to do. Get it from the source of who you pay rent to and there ends the confusion. All in all for the rent and or condo fees if you are an owner you are not going to get more bang for your buck than you do here. You get covered car port with storage, pool, hot tub, workout room, sauna, clubhouse to use for party rentals ($50 for 6 hours!!), tennis courts, snow removal, landscaping, etc. We have friends that pay the same condo fees and they have snow removal and landscaping, plus they have to get up early to move their cars so the snow can be plowed. If Cedars sucks as bad as you say, please check into Patriots Park, Beechstone, Colonial Pines, or Springbrook. Thank you.
