The apartments are in a nice area, with lots of shopping near by. Everything needed is within a few minutes drive. The office staff are very, very friendly and accomidating. These are the only perks. The maintenance staff is a little slow to respond. I came home from work at 5 pm after a snow storm the night before, at the beginning of the winter season. The walkways still had not been cleared after 18 hours, and I slipped and fell on my keester. I went out a while later, and it was still uncleared, so I took it upon myself to pour salt on the walkway before someone was hurt. It also took several days before they repaired a leaky faucet. Actually weeks. Hot water is free in the rent, but rememer, you get what you pay for. More often than not I have to get out of the shower before I am done because the water is just too cold. Also the driers in the laundry room frequently act up. The buildings are from the 70s I believe, and are settling. The sections of drywall are clearly visible as they protrude from the wall on different plains, and the plaster is poorly done. I brought this to the attention of the staff upon moving in, but they shrugged it off. I can live with shoddy dry wall, so it didn't really bother me. When the neighbors upstairs get up in the morning at 4:30, the ceiling joists crack and pop very loudly and often wake me up. Noise from neighbors' tv and children is audiable, but I guess it's expected of an apartment complex. There is a pool, but since I moved in in Novemer, I'm not sure of it's upkeep. It does seem very small for the number of units here, and I imagine it would be over crowded. Also who knows what fluids the dozens of children are adding to the water. There is one assigned parking spot per apartment, so if more than one person resides, it is a free-for-all for extra spaces. However, the extra spaces to seem to be adequate. There were several backhoes ripping up the yards, I assume for sewerage or something of the sort, and now the fairly decent lawns are replaced with fields of dirt. Several children play on them right outside my windows, and feel the need to come up to them and peer in. Also several ethnic personnel cook up some interesting meals that create an overpowering stench that overwhelms the hallways nightly. There were a few domestic disputes at about 2:30 am outside my bedroom window upon first moving in, but they seem to have made up for now. Also some guy has a car with a muffler that needs to be replaced, but he thinks it is a really cool performance upgrade. He will start his car, then rev it for about 10 minutes. Then he will floor it and drive at top speed to the next apartment (about 200 feet), then park and rev his engine for another 5 minutes before driving home again at top speed. Not really sure who he's trying to impress, but it's definitly not me. Anyways, I nitpicked, and these are very minor discrepancies. Overall I am satisfied with my stay here so far. However, I will definitly be moving out upon the end of my lease, for a quiet house of my own.

This review seems a tad discriminatory. Wouldn't you agree? This person evidentally does not get along well with others. Fortunately, to make a decision in 'housing' for myself, I can read between the lines: To complain or make assumptions about a pool you have not seen uncovered or witnessed the care, is totally unreasonable. I have lived at Patriots Park for 16 years and personally can attest to the responsivness of the maintenance personnel whether be it during a snowstorm or for a routine service request. Besides the recent storm on Valentine's Day 2/14, there has not been a 'storm' per say-and at best 3-4 inches fell. My walk-ways and the others I could see were fine. Overall, this person says they are satisfied and states that most of these nitpicky things are minor, some of these things occur in the parking lots of malls and banks etc... not all of these are justified. Anyhow, Patriots Park management and staff care about their residents and that of their property. That is why there are new windows, new insulation, upgrades continuously. The digging was another property upgrade. If you just stop and take time to talk with the office, they welcome comments, they will attest that landscaping is of the utmost importance and of course, new seed and plantings are on the spring agenda! I know I love to call Patriots Park my home and will continue to do so. Bldg 3 resident, 16 yrs.
