been here a long time and stayed thru the anticipated, long awaited "rehab"..since then not much has changed other than some carpeting, paint and some cheap light fixtures. basically a cover-up job..like throwing up a bath fitter over the molded shower walls where it is now seeping through..beats the mold growing in the bedroom closets tho. the place is and has been run down and just because someone comes in and covers some things up does not qualify it as newly refurbished.. with laundry facilities that rarely work, one bldg. has been w/o washers for 6mos. as managment keeps telling them they are "waiting for a part" 6 months for a part'! i've never heard of such a thing. possibly it's coming quite a distance and apparently by mule..hmm maybe they just don't care'..used to be that around here the children weren't allowed to "live".. with the no bicycles rule and the 8pm curfew and all..also i should mention the continuous infractions recieved for even the slightest bend of any of these rules, as i've always wanted a manager who could both manage an apt. complex along with my parenting skills..(ie. i recieved one because my son had went to do homework w/ a friend in a bldg. next door and was seen walking home @ 8:30pm therefore breaking the 8pm curfew) now it appears the adults aren't to "live" here neither, what with the "no sitting outside of your bldg" rule now in place. soon, no talking! and no laughing! conversations taking place in your livingroom can be heard by any neighbor walking through the hall. the removal of the speedbumps when there is children everywhere you look (course not on bicycles tho!)was just brainstorming. i mean jeez why would we need them when people are only doing like 30-35 mph thru here where it's a 5 mph limit' see, the constant threat of an infraction for this left under the doors is SO much more effective. the parking situation is an experience you could only appreciate after enduring it. 1 space per apt. and with most families having 2 cars and there being very limited visitor spaces makes for a helluva time if you have company. if you aren't in a spot you'll be towed and if your friend is in your spot they'll be towed. and god forbid you use someone else's car for a weekend and park it in your spot, the plate doesn't match and so that will be towed! then there's the constant badgering by management on a power trip which just makes Winchester Place aka Ledgewood Manor just that much more worthy of a $1200./a month check..my advice to you' KEEP LOOKING! i am.
