I have lived here now for some three years and it is getting nicer...aside from the squirrel problem.
I can vouch for chasing off dirtbags whereas I did most of the chasing. When I first moved here we had it all...Cars getting broke into, degenerates hanging out around the condos at night till odd hours making a ton of noise, loud drunks and basically every type of scumbag imaginable. But have no fear, most of the Lowell/Lawrence types have been sent packing and quite a few young white coules have moved in and actually decorate their balconys with something other than bikes and trash! I have never seen a roach and management is capable and does work with us on most issues. although the Squirrel problem is getting to be a real issue for me.
The Shaw's side get loud from the trucks and dumpsters being slammed around while in use and when being emptied. another problem on that side is the company taking care of the parking lot who have been chased out at 3am using a leaf blower to clear sand off the lot
I dont know what was worse, 3am or them blowing all the sand onto the cars!

Overall it is much better and getting better. alot of scumbags and loudmouths have been erradicated and more will be following them.
Overall a decent place to live
