We moved here recently and our unit is actually pretty nice inside. The owner did some renovations and added nice flooring throughout, stainless appliances, etc. Everything seemed like it was going to be fine until we realized that the people who live above us are completely out of their minds, and we can hear EVERYTHING that goes on up there. Furthermore, they apparently don't know that you can copy keys, because they are always relentlessly banging and pounding away at the door to the building to get someone to come outside and let them in. That gets really old, really fast.
Now onto the real weird stuff. We have a lady in our building who we have dubbed "Pantsless Lady." Why' Because she doesn't wear any pants, that's why. She walks around in what appears to be some sort of extremely short nightgown and a pair of unzipped boots. At first I thought it was just a one time thing, like I had caught her in an embarrassing moment as she went to quickly get her mail, but that is NOT the case. She wears this crazy, and totally inappropriate getup everywhere she goes, and it weirds us out.
There is also the guy I call the "Doorway Starer." I think he might be married to Pantsless Lady, but that is just a guess. This whacko is often found just standing by the glass doors to the building, looking slightly disheveled, and staring at us as we arrive or leave. The crazy thing is, he could well be there when we return from whatever errands we may be running at the time. Why does he stand there for hours' I could never guess. Why does his wife wear no pants' Again, no idea, but the whole thing makes me a bit uncomfortable.
As for the Management, the woman is basically useless at her job. I called her recently to inform her that huge chunks of ice were falling directly onto the steps and walkway that lead to our doorway, and her response was, "There really isn't anything we can do about that, it is dangerous for people to shovel the roofs." WHAT!' What about the fact that 100 pound chunks of ice are falling down onto where elderly people walk every day' Anyway, I suggested that it is most definitely her responsibility to make sure that tenants are safe from falling ice, and she seemed to think that was just crazy talk. She finally said, "I'll see what I can do," after I explained to her that if some poor old lady got her head caved in she would probably lose her job because the poor widower would definitely file a lawsuit against the building owners for a couple of million bucks.
The parking lots are a mess. The person(s) who plow here have NO regard for where they put the snow. It is a nightmare when it snows because (a) they don't fully plow, and (b) they pile the snow into what would otherwise be parking spaces, making it impossible to fit all of the cars into the lot. Nevermind the fact that 80% of the people who live here can't park their cars straight. But in fairness, the fact that people can't drive is not the fault of the apartment complex.
I guess I'm done. Oh wait!! The place smells TERRIBLE in the hallways, and sometimes the odor seeps into our apartment. It is gross. This place is a dump.

I have to agree with everything you just stated. I cant wait to move the hell out of here. I cracked up at the fact that you also have silly names for your neighbors. I have porch-guy that I am forced to wave to when I enter and leave because he is always on his balcony smoking a butt. I have people upstairs from me that have like 5 kids bouncing off the walls constantly, I wonder how they all fit into a 2 bedroom. Then there is mailbox-guy who creeps me out when I get my mail he is always there looking out the glass door, like he is waiting for someone everyday. The halls smell terrible, the cops are always driving around and the fire trucks always there. The management lady is a freak of nature that could careless about anything. So I too feel your pain.
