I've lived at Meadowbrook Village for two and a half years in a third floor apartment. I have enjoyed it very much.
In contrast to other places I've rented, all amenities work and are kept in good repair (hot water, dishwasher, garbage disposal, A/C, etc.) and heating costs are low. Staff have been quick to address any issues I've reported and are uniformly pleasant to deal with. Staff keeps up with winter plowing and sanding, and makes an effort to keep the grounds and buildings well ordered and clean. Best of all, I feel safe here.
I particularly enjoy the woodland setting and the fact that each apartment has a walk out balcony or a patio. Many renters are graduate students or professionals, and the atmosphere is quiet and friendly. In the summer you can use the pool and work a free garden plot which is organically maintained.
Other good things include covered car port availability and additional storage in your building.
The only negative for me is that I can hear the train at night. Some might consider that a positive.
