our lease started on the 1st of july.
the night that we moved in, our air conditioning didn't work. we called the office the next morning and they said that someone would be out to fix it as soon as possible. days passed and we didn't see anyone, so we tried the maintainance number and we never recieved a call back. finally, after calling a couple more times, we saw a repair man on the 7th. he told us that the unit needed to be replaced, and that he would let the office manager know, but that he could rig it to work for the time being. so he did, and the fan never shut off (leaving us with a huge electricity bill). on the 13th, our air stopped working again and our kitchen sink stopped draining. we called and spoke with a lady in the office and explained that our air wasn't working and that we had standing water in our kitchen sink. i guess that since standing water and heat aren't a good combination, they viewed it as an emergency and sent a maintainance man out to fix our sink immediately. however, we didn't see someone for 2 more days to fix our air. and now, on the 26th, our air has stopped working yet again. i called yesterday at 4 pm and spoke with someone about this. she assured me that my work order would be put thru and that someone would be out today to fix my air (since i would be home ALL day and i have a dog). i asked her if she was actually taking care of this or if, when i called again, i was going to be told, like i had been before, that they had no record of a problem. she promised me that she was writing it in the book as we spoke. i called the office at 4:42 to follow up on the work order for my air, since i had been here, all day, and not seen anyone and THEY HAD NO RECORD OF THERE BEING AN problem!
