PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE EVEN CONSIDERING MOVING IN TO ANY MIDDLESEX MANAGEMENT COMPLEX!

From the second we walked through the door of our new apartment it has been nothing but a nightmare! The apartment was in poor condition to begin with (example: the lining in the kitchen cabinets was so filthy that we litterally had to scrub and bleach for HOURS, the refrigerater NEVER worked, and good luck with the drainage in the upstairs bath tub!). For one year we suffered through this crap.. Every thing was cheap and broke within days not even weeks... Forget about having it fixed properly.
Even besides the physical flaws of the apartment itself was the neighborhood.. Our apartment was in the back corner of the complex and on weekends and days after 3 pm when the kids let out of school it was damn near impossible to DRIVE to our apartment. The kids stand in the middle of the street and just look at you like "how dare you drive on a street!". one little girl even tried to ride her bicycle into the side of our car once!!
We have been out of the apartment for 4 months now and the nightmare still has not ended! We made the big mistake of breaking our lease, which binded us to the stipulation that we would have to pay until the apartment was rented. Which was fine.. What was not fine was the fact that we moved out in August, a new tenant moved in September 1, and we were recieving bills and harrassing phone calls EVERY DAY until mid november stating that we owe them 5000 dollars because the apartment still was not rented. Only after hiring a lawyer and getting a signed statement from the tenant did they drop these charges.. HOWEVER, NOW somehow i have 2000 dollars in damages beyond my security deposit. Funny how these weren't mentioned before catching them trying to scam me out of 3 months rent... If they don't get you one way I'm sure they have other ways of doing it.. BEWARE!
