Last week someone broke the frame of the main door and get into the apartment with a metal detector and took around 4000 dollar worth gold which was hidden in the closet. This is not a first incident in this complex. Cant even sleep peacefully now.

I am planning to move out but will have to stay for 7-8 months due to lease. I am also looking for some tiny video cameras to put up at my door, so that at least it can capture the images. If anyone knows where I can order online, please post.

Forest View has become one of the most dangerous place to live in.The management would give empty promises about security cameras, car patrol but its of no use.Cops will not be able to do anything.
One should leave as soon as the lease ends.

I live in Forest View as well. I want to say I am sorry to the person who posted the inital comment. I think I may live in the same building as you (a police officer came to my door to ask if my boyfriend or I heard any noises - my boyfriend told him he did).
These apartments are an absolute rip off! They just sent around this notice on some security deposit refund which is a total SCAM! They know their apartments are over priced (especially with the break ins now!!) and they are trying to lock tenants into an overpriced rate. I pay $1350 for a 2 bedroom that they now have listed on their website as $1300!! I am absolutely going to fight the rent.
The noise is also another issue. It is totally unbearable. I am on the 3rd floor, so you would think it would be relatively quite. WRONG!! I hear my neighbors next door AND downstairs. I swear it sounds like they are moving furniture around all day.
The positives - the maintenance guy is great. You dont get direct number for him so you always have to speak to the rude office reps but he is quick to respond. Also, the apartments are HUGE.
