Not the worst place to live but...

The only nice building in the whole complex is, not surprsingly, the front one where the office is. The office staff is great when you're in the processes before moving in, but after that you have to catch them when they are in a good mood, which is not frequent. They seem bothered when you call and have a problem with the aging apartments.
The parking lot needs to be repaved, water gathers badly and doesn't drain.
The heaters aren't too great, the air conditioners are old, but get the job done.
There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so condensation builds up when you take a shower, in the occasion when you have a steady hot water temperature in the shower.
You have to keep after maintenance, but most of the time they are quick and efficient.
The mailboxes are too small and Barrington's post office is only open 9a - 4:30p, most people work from 8a to 5p so when you have a package to be delivered you have to wait until Saturday to get it.
The laundry room is adequate, with 3 washers and 3 dryers that get the job done. $1.25 for wash, $1.00 for drying.
Our building is quiet, with the occasional driver blasting crappy music at high volume in the middle of the night. I've never felt unsafe in the area.
