Things must have improved since some of those earlier reviews were written, as I haven't seen many of those problems. We'll see what happens when I move out someday, though.

It's not the lap of luxury, given the fairly flimsy fixtures and cheap paint, but this is central Jersey, where a puny ranch house starts at $400,000, so I don't expect a palace for $1,400. We have plenty of space and are very comfortable here.

Management has, to date, kept all promises. The maintenance people show up within 24 hours and fix things rather than make excuses, which is much more than I can say for any other apartment I've ever lived in. There are tons of parking spaces, so I can't imagine where those gripes come from. The night we moved in (a saturday), almost 2 feet of snow fell, and it was all cleared away by mid-morning Sunday. Last place I lived, I had to wait 2 DAYS to get my car out.

I don't have any neighbors above or below, so I don't know about that noise problem, but I can't hear much sound coming from the other apartments next to mine. There is more noise from people who feel the need to stand on the sidewalk outside my window and talk at 11 pm. Don't they have their own apartments or sidewalks' No one really causes any trouble, though.

There is really only one complaint/warning I have for prospective renters: If you are freaked out by bugs, you might want to keep looking. The other reviewers weren't joking. My can of Raid gets a pretty heavy workout here. Ants invade my kitchen in armies, while the silverfish seem to like the bedrooms. The worst, though, is the repulsive centipedes in the (finished) basement. They are ugly and BIG. I have to kill one of those at least every three days. Disgusting.
