My husband and I have lived in Pike Run Meadows since right after it opened in 2005. We really like it here, and haven't found anything nicer to buy yet that would make it worth our while to lose the great rent and free cable we recieve currently. As other people have noted, there was a bug problem last summer in the Meadows, and it took about two weeks for it to be fully dealt with. I will be the first to admit it was completely disgusting, but I did appreciate that it was finally resolved! We have had much luck with the mantenance department ... we had a heating problem during Thanksgiving weekend in 2005, and it was resolved the same day. A word of caution, the apartments are outfitted with special flourescent lightbulbs that are energy saving. We had some issues getting replacement bulbs when they started burning out after about a year and a half. They are not available in stores, so you will need to deal with the mainteanace department to replace them. A few people have noted the problems with the garbage that people leave out, I have personally had more of a problem with people stealing my recycling container! Overall, the apartments are beautiful ... marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, neutral carpeting. It will be hard to move out when the time comes! vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
