This is a horrible place to live, I would not recommended to no one, the apartments are horrible they dont fix anything and the animals are out of control there, you have squirrels, possums, and skunks walking around the property like they live there and the squirrels are living in the apartment attics. The management is garbage, they dont know what they are doing and they suck plain simple. I feel sorry for the property owners that a nice location like that is going to waste. They broke into my car twice in less than a year, my apartment burnt down and it took them three weeks to find me another apartment,the apartment they gave me the carpets were dirty as hell and the ceiling was falling due to the leak in the roof, they sent me to court for rent that I according to them i owed, when i paid my rent every month, thank god i had copies of the checks when they deposited them ,and many more things i can go down the list of what i went through at this property in less than a year...PLEASE RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK, And for your deposit you have have to fight them to get it back and i still havent received mine...BEWARE

I am not surprised these things happened to you. We moved out in Feb 09 and still they have not returned our deposit. I took them to court and won but they are not replying to the court officer. Take them to court that is the only way they will return your money. Take these pictures and other people reviews off of this website. From what I see it was not safe to live in. Just to let you know. I knew someone that there ceiling collapsed and they did not fix it. They really suck and I think the town of Belleville should get involved. They have to be stopped!

I agreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i been here for five years. Horrible!! To make a long story short, i have a warrant of removal for tommorrow after i paid the stip and you think thE MANAGER would work with me? After i mean... wayyyyy before she got here the stuff i put up with from leslie TO DAVID (she in my opinion was great! you showed her the money she got things done!) She would work with me like a human being but this new lady was nice when i gave her my checks and thing when i came back to get the signed stip, after she agreed while i handed her my checks, she looked at me like i was an alien. I was giving her another grand this friday but HELL NO!! I already found two apartments (in a house) This complex made me never want to rent another one again! I really thought Cherl was a decent person that understands people and if your paying why not let me pay my tab and not have me go down as an eviction. Why because these property managers want to hurt you going forward but i will tell you this..... TODAY'S WORLD IS DIFFERENT! eVICTION ON YOUR RECORD THESE DAYS DONT MEAN NADA! wHY? bECAUSE HALF THE COUNTRY IS BROKE WITH BAD CREDIT! i TOLD A PROPERTY MANAGER STR8 UP IM GETTING EVICTED SHE SAID WHO CARES?? aS LONG AS I HAVE A JOB, CAN PAY RENT ON TIME, THE PAST IS THE PAST!!! aUDUBON IS A DUMP AND COST THEM MORE TO TAKE YOU TO COURT! kEEP TAKING PEOPLE TO COURT..GO RIGHT AHEAD..LAST I CHECKED THEY OWE OVER 300,000 DOLLARS..LMAO ITS BURNING TO THE GROUND! lET IT BURN!

These Bastards own 380-402 Mt. Prospect Avenue here in Newark as well. It really sucks! EVERYTHING that is written is true. Stay away from Audubon Communities. They are the #1 slum lords of New Jersey!!!!!! DO NOT RENT ! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! We just inherited Cynthia Gainous here in the Newark buildings. Please tell us what she was like. She is not a nice person to talk to. Cheryl came from Texas and she worked here @ 380-402 until they "transferred" her for Cynthia! It's a big mess. The Tenant Association leader here in newark had Cheryls son Fired along with a porter who worked here. (he was on staff here as well). Cheryl is one of the good guys, but she can't get anyting done, because her bosses won't sign off on the repairs!!! Basically AUDUBON FIXES NOTHING - EVER! They do not care. THEY JUST COLLECT YOUR RENT AND WHE YOU LEAVE, THEY GET THE NEXT SUCKER! If you have your pictures, keep taking them. Do not pay your rent. SEND A CERTIFIED LETTER TO CHERYL'S OFFICE and in the letter state your case and what repairs need to be done. State how long you have been having problems and that you are not going to pay rent until they fix your issue! Wait for these bastards to take you to court, plead your case, and walk out a winner!!!!
