A sincere opinion

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I have about 2 months remaining in my lease. I moved in approx. june of 2004. The only reason I had moved here was because I had to meet deadlines and find residence in the Philadelphia area. I was not informed of the quality of life and I signed my lease with a clear head not knowing what to expect.
With truth, I can say the police are a constant prescence, not necessarily in my building, but in general. That is a good thing, but only because of bad situations. My neighbors have had the police called on them several times because of late-night knocking on their door - seperate people on seperate occasions -- all whom escalated their volume secondary to no response from the apartment, sometimes the knockers yelling obscenities and phrases regarding drugs. Whats up with that' its not hard to figure out.
other than that the police are never at my building, but I know for a fact they run radar in the parking lot and enforce traffic stops regularly on veichles coming from the back part of the complex.
About two weeks ago there was a rather heated altrcation between a male and female in the area of the playground, requiring a several unit response. Newspaper articles exist documenting major crimes of years past.
Noise is a concern, being that the walls are thin, and you might find yourself annoying someone without even knowing it.
I have never been threatened, felt threatened, my car has never been broken into, and I have experienced absolutetely no theft.
Different units have personalities of their own though.
Will I renew my lease' probably not, because I have a good job and can afford to live elsewhere nowadays.
Should you move in' Probably not.
