I lived at Fountainview for 2 1/2 years, and it wasn't all that bad considering how cheap it was and for the location. Let me start off by talking about the good things
1)price
2)roomy apartment
3)parking was good
4)great location to all major roads

Now, let me start with the negative
1)never really had to deal with management or the office, but when I did it was a hassle. The only one that ever seemed to get anything done was Teri (very helpful) and the property manager. I wouldn't even try to leave messages with anyone else because your problem will not be taken care of.

2)MICE!!!!!! Yes, I had mice and I lived on the 4th floor. I found it hard to believe that the office had never heard of any mice problems. But, I guess the mice just decided to climb 4 flights of stairs and come to only my apartment. The mice were in the walls in my kitchen. They were in my stove. I had mice droppings everywhere. When I put out glue traps I caught 11 mice in total. I got a replacement stove which was refurbished and also had mouse droppings in it. I was told by the head of maintenance that the mice already in my house had left the droppings, although the stove had only be instaled for like 3 hours. I eventually got a new stove, but the mice did not disappear. Come to find out, there were huge holes behind my stove and behind my dishwasher from incorrect installation. It was disgusting and I went weeks without cooking becuase I was disgusted. Especially since the mice were coming through the walls, climbing throughout my stove and leaving droppings all around the countertops. No point in calling the exterminator because all he did was lay out traps all around my house in which no mice were ever caught except those traps laid in the kitchen. It was a pain.

3)too many bad kids. I lived alone and was single, the summers were always the worst

4)abandoned cars everywhere, I had a abandoned car in front of my building for at least a 1 1/2 years. A notice was left saying it would be twoed, but never was. It's probably still there. My neighbor moved out and left her vehicle from some strange reason, and the car sat there for 5 months in the same spot until she came back to retrieve it.

5)laundry rooms were disgusting. I used the laundry room once because I was desperate. I took my clothers out of the dryer and someone else had threw their underwear, t-shirts, and socks in my dryer, probably to not have to spend the money to use the dryer. In turn, I threw their clothes in the trash along with mine.

This was my exeprince. It was not the worst, but considering the rent price you can't complain. I relocated from the area and am paying $325 more in rent, so do I miss the cost of rent in Fountainview YES, but I don't miss anything else.
