Your living experience here really depends on what building/section you live in.

If you are fortunate enough to have rented in the front near College Dr. entrance, leasing office or Little Gloucester Rd. entrance, you probably view the complex much more positively than if you got stuck in the back buildings. (such as M, L, K, H)

Everything is worse living in the back.

Less parking because of the way the buildings are set up. The parking for 2 buildings is cramped into an area that usually serves for 1 building. Be prepared for a walk if you arrive home after 10pm from work or a night out. I saw an ad posted recently for Autumn Ridge on Craigslist saying you get 1 assigned spot. I would like to know what section that is in. LOL

There are constantly unattended children ranging in age from 10-18 roaming around, hooting and hollering, playing games like who can punch the other harder, or worse, the older teens making out and groping each other on the stairwells and stoops. I am assuming their crackhead parents kick them out to roam around so they can suck on their crack pipes.

And apparently if you get enough 18-21 year olds together to put on a lease, you can get an apartment in the back. Then you can just have a party apartment of drinking, loud music and balcony full of trash bags.

The grounds crew works every morning except for Sunday. And the trashy tenants keep them busy picking up after them; especially in the back and around the dumpsters. On a daily basis I walk by empty 40oz bottles and various litter because the animals that live here weren't raised with any class.

The end of the walkway between J-K buildings looks like a small beach because of all the sand/rainwater runoff. If you walk around the complex, that's the only area like it, because other areas near the front get swept up.

Lighting is improved. And you see this random "security" SUV ride around now and then. But they don't do much. Because if you call something in, they say to call the police.

And the lease clearly states, no grilling on balconies. Yet it continues. And the grills are visible. There have been 11 fires in 5 years here, including 2 major ones which destroyed buidlings completely. The buildings are old construction before current building/fire codes. So one small accident with a grill on a balcony could cause you to lose your entire apartment or life. Yet these idiots keep doing it. They don't understand you have to make sacrifices living in an apartment. Just buy a Foreman Grill.

Heating and Air Conditioning systems are old. And if you live on a higher floor be ready to run you AC constantly in summer. To keep the rooms at 75 degrees, it just runs and runs. And if you try to save a little money by turning it up a little, forget it ... easily hits 80-85. Luckily in the summer, I just try and get out and do things.

Any carpets laid before AR management are garbage, laid poorly and thin - poorly padded underneath. Can't speak for carpets laid by new owners.

Haven't had to call maintenance much. Fountainview guys sucked. Autumn Ridge is more professional.

Overall, you get what you pay for. The rent is cheaper than most places around. But I grew up poor and took care of what we had. Sadly the people that live around me, in the back, don't take care of the area.
