Thieves Sought In Gloucester Twp. Car Break-Ins
GLOUCESTER Twp. (CBS 3)

Police are investigating burglaries of more than a dozen cars at a Gloucester Township apartment complex.

Authorities believe the break-ins happened sometime between 1 and 4 a.m. Tuesday at the Autumn Ridge Apartments.

While the thieves shattered several car windows, authorities said some of the victimized vehicles were unlocked.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is urged to contact Gloucester Township police.

Police remind car owners to secure expensive items and hide any evidence of valuables. Investigators said thieves tend to target CDs, loose cords, purses and even loose change left on display.

Fatal shooting at NJ apartments

GLOUCESTER TWP., NJ - September 19, 2009 (WPVI) -- Police in Gloucester Township are investigating a shooting at the Autumn Ridge Apartments.

Police were called out to the apartments located on the 1500 block of Little Gloucester Road at around 10:00 a.m.

It is reported that one male had a gunshot wound to the neck in apartment G15. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear at this time.

The victim was transported to JFK Stratford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A female victim reported being robbed at gunpoint by a black male on Sunday at around 7 p.m. in the Autumn Ridge Apartments, police announced Monday. The suspect allegedly pointed a handgun at her demanding money, took her purse, then fled toward the "N" building. A search of the area by authorities and K-9 units turned up nothing. The suspect was described as being in his late 20's to early 30's and was wearing a dark, hooded zip-up sweatshirt. The incident i the third robbery in the past two days involving suspects with similar descriptions. Gloucester Township police urge anyone with information on these incidents to contact them at (856) 228-2500.
