My boyfriend and I are from a small city in Upstate NY. We have been living together for over 8 years and he recently got a job promotion forcing him to move to the Blackwood, NJ area. He spent countless hours trying to find an apartment in really short notice and no one would except him without excellent credit. Out of desparity he signed a contract at Autumn ridge bc they accepted a co signer. I refused to leave my family and wonderful commuity to live in a place so close to camden which showed as the third most dangerous city in the United states. Shortly after he moved in someone was murdered, cars were smashed into and things were stolen in the night with no witnesses, there were cockroaches in the sink... the list goes on and on. I came down one weekend to see him bc being apart breaks my heart. I will honestly say I hid my GPS and took everything out of my car (this was before break-ins) I felt very unsafe from the moment I walked into his aparmtent. Other peoples children were congregating in front of his apartment making nose and littering, the entryway into the apartment is very eerie.. its like a deadend alley. If someone was hiding in there or followed you in you would be dead and no one would notice. I am trying to convince him to break his lease bc I will probably never go there again. He is even scared and that speaks volumes. The problem starts with management bc they need to do a cleanout of all of the section 8 and drug dealers and thugs and then boost security so they can't ever step foot back on the property.....In the meantime counting down the days til he gets the heck out of that place...

totally agree with you! They need to fire Mira and the rest of her rocket scientist @ the office or maybe when the thugs figure out that they can get easy money at the office and rob them and show them what it feels like then you might see some changes!!

I agree as well! This place was horrible when I was a teen and went to parties here and it still is bad! Management doesn't care at all about the residents or tenants as they call them. All they care about it taking your rent money and giving you nothing in return! As for security I don't think there is any, if so, why does no one ever know anything and when you report things they don't care and the Police seem to think its your fault b/c you picked the worst neighborhood to live in!
