My husband and I lived at Lakeview for a year and a half. Yes the apartments are spacious and I loved the walk-in closets, but . . .

No matter how high we turned up the heat in the winter, we were always freezing. We had to crank up the AC to cool down in the summer and the electric bill was ridiculous. The water tempterature of the shower was horrible, one minute it was hot the next it was BURNING and then it would freeze. There was a constant smell of mold coming from the AC/heat vents. Oh did I mention the waterfall' Everytime it rained there was a down pour in the hallway, so you couldn't get to the laundry room with out getting drenched. When we did manage to get in there we paid $2.50 to wash and dry one load of clothes. There is only one washer and dryer for every 6 apartments, so it was very rare to be able to wash your clothes when you wanted to. The washer was always in use or broken. On the nights that we stayed out past 9PM, we could NOT find a parking space when we got home. After driving around for a half hour to forty minutes we would get frustrated and have no choice but to double park in front of someone elses car, knowing that we would wake up early in the morning to move it and find a parking ticket on the windshield. If we did manage to find a parking spot, chances were that when we woke up in the morning someone had us blocked in. We would have sit in the car and honk the horn, hoping that the owner would hear us and move. After the first year of living there they raised our already overpriced rent by 5%. Alsp, I couldn't have potted plants on my deck because all of the stray cats would come and use it for a litter box and the squirrels would eat the plants anyway. Oh and the "Lake" that you are supposed to have a "view" of, looks more like a swamp. The apartments themselves were a joke, they paint over the walls everytime a new tenant moves in which is about once a year, because no one stays there long. There are thick glops of paint and spacle over everywhere. The dishwasher didn't dry the dished and when I called maintence to look at it they always said it was in satisfactory working condition. The garbage disposal had the funkiest odor and I had to dump baking soda and vinager down there oonce a week to try to eliminate it. The windows were ancient and had no insulation. That's why it was always freezing in the winter. There are large dumpsters placed all over the parking lots for disposing our trash. They kindly emptied them EVERY moring around 7:00am, even on weekends and it is extremely loud. In regard to all of these problems we would call maintenance or management and they would always say "we're working on it" or "we'll look into it" but nothing every got done. I could go on and on with complaints but I think you get the point. Its a horrible place to live.
