SO MANY PROBLEMS...

The parking is horrible, the fire alarms are always going off for no apparent reason, and some of the people that live here are loud and rude. There are problems with the dryer every so often, and when you complain they raise the price and don't fix the problem. There are birds and squirrels that live in the ceiling over the winter, and make all kinds of noise overhead. The buildings are old so the electric bills are around $230-$260 to keep the air between 70 and 75, and I forgot to mention that in just over a year they've fixed the heat at least twice. The front rooms, near the parking lot, are always a great deal warmer than the rest of the apartment to the point that we keep a fan on at night all year round. They raise the rent even though all this goes on, and my boyfriend and I are even beginning to question the water because it comes out a cloudy grey every so often. Oh, and there are mold problems.

I agree the parking is awful. The problem is everybody has a car and all the apartments with two individuals have two cars, therefore if there are 6 apartments in each building, 2 people to an apartment, that's 12 people, and each person has a car, that's 12 cars, to just one building, some two bedroom apartments have 4 people living in them, that's four cars for one apartment, so the amount of cars per building makes it impossible to accomodate all the cars. In every building there is one or two handicap parking spaces, everybody that has a COLD gets a handicap parking space.

If you live in a regular apartment with a dryer/washer across the hall, Lakeview doesn't service them; they have a contract with a company. The electric bills are costly in the summer months, but they are everywhere with the rising prices. Birds and squirrels are a part of nature and unless you want them to kill them, they do make noise. Neighbors also can't be controlled, but if they get too noisey then call the cops. Sounds like you need to get a house rather than live in an apartment. No, I don't work for Lakeview, I'm just a sensible person that knows when you live in an apartment complex there are certain issues you are sure to deal with.

Birds and squirrels are a part of nature, but when you get bird mites and the apartment complex can't take care of that, then that's a problem. Or when you have a hole in the freakin roof that goes unfixed and you see birds peeping through the hole. Not to mention the dog ---- that people don't pick up.

Birds and squirrels are part of NATURE, not an apartment. There is absolutely NO reason why management cannot put up a screen barrier to keep out the wildlife. By the way, since they are wildlife, they carry diseases. We finally called the Camden County Health Dept. and they made management do something. Yes, it would be easy to move if they gave you back your security deposit up front. I don't think people should have to move and up root their kids, ect., when they are paying rent. My advice is to call the Health Dept. They are a huge help.

The squirrel problem is the exact reason I have not chosen to renew my lease. When they were confined to the attic with the birds I was fine. When one took it upon its self to chew through the wall behind my stove and move into my apartment that's when I draw the line. To add insult to injury when I contact emergency maintenance I was informed by the receptionist that maintenance does not consider "rodent problems an emergency and someone would b out on Monday."
