If you're like me, sometimes seeing an apartment listing without a review will turn you away--that's why I'm writing this.
I came out to Jersey from the midwest in 2001 and had to get a place fast. I applied at Waterfall Village, and was immediately grateful to Chuck in the office for working with me long-distance to get the paperwork done, orienting me to north NJ, etc.
But the good vibes didn't end once I signed a lease--if my wife and I had a problem with something in the apt. and called it in, the maintenance people would sometimes show up BEFORE WE WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING!! They were the best-responding group I'd ever seen, and did a great job at fixing whatever the issue was.
The apartment had a few old touches, like older kitchen cabinets, etc., but our 1 bedroom (750 sq. ft.) was mostly new, with brand-new carpeting and new-style sliding windows. We had one living-room air conditioner and 1 stall of a 2-car garage shared with a neighbor. There was also lot parking in front of the complex.
The laundry room was close and only busy part of the time. Our 2nd floor apt. faced a stream from the living room, and the garage area from the bedroom. Noise wasn't a problem, only the occasional tenant with a hotrod (me) or Harley. WV is off of a not-so-busy road and fairly secluded, an added plus.
We left after buying a place in NYC, and our cats had torn up a decent-sized area of the new carpet. Chuck inspected it, then only took $163 out of our security deposit and wished us good luck. Great guy, great management who treat you fairly, nice place to live an hour from the city.
