There are some good things about this apartment complex, but there are more bad. I lived in the Rydal section for almost 4 years & there are some things that can really change. For one my apartment has a lot of bugs living in the walls and there are lots of small holes in the walls where they get in and out from. I try to cover as many as I can find but there are still some holes they seem to get out of. Last summer there were mice in the apartment but I called maintenance and they put a mice repellant in each room so the maintenance is pretty effective. The floors are pretty creaky but that isn't a major problem though. But on the plus side the neighbors are quiet and friendly and the area is overall safe. But they really need to put light bulbs in the light posts outside of the apartments because if someone is visiting at night, they wouldn't be able to see the apartment numbers. Parking is good & the laundry room is looking a little better since they redid it (even though I only use it in emergencies). There are also too many speed bumps in the Southgate area which can be annoying. It's an okay place if you have low standards but I personally hate the bugs and it's not worth paying over $1000 a month.
