The apartments themselves were relatively nice. When I moved in I had new carpet (although very low quality). The kitchen was redone as well as the bathroom.

Problems:
Basement - area of apartment is useless which in my case was a very large "rec" room, an additional bedroom and a wash room. There was a lingering smell of stale mildewey urine that could not be eliminated rendering the entire downstairs useless. In addition, the floor in the laundry room was always wet from a mysterious leak.

Neighbors - Always lingering around outside others' apartments when everyone has their own private porch. They lay on the sidewalks, sit around other people's doorways, and loiter in walkways at all hours. Apparently there was nothing the landlord would do about it. INS wouldn't come unless there were over 50 of them. They were always there, always making noise and always in the way. If spanish is your first language, Brick Estates is the PLACE FOR YOU!

Apparently some other neighbors only purchase CD singles and there stereo is stuck on 10. I fondly remember a saturday afternoon where I must have heard "Outside" by Staind 50 times...from 10 apartments down...

Just plain dirty - The apartments were over priced for the environment and the location. The grounds were never well kept and the people with pets made a mess of the place. It was just run down, over priced and DIRTY. I'm still trying to get out....
