For only being in these apartments for a year, I have had many complaints.
The overall appearance of the property is very bland. The upkeep is not there, and this leads to a lot of safety issues. For example, holes in the 'grassy' areas, and I use that term lightly. The trees and bushes protrude into the walkways and the lighting on the sides of buildings are very poor.
Many times small problems have occured within the apartment. Such as the toilet stopped flushing, the bathroom fan stopped working, the railing by the stairs was broken, even the balcony was literally falling apart. I have made numerous calls about each of these issues, and never once received an actual response. When they do answer there phones, they tell you it will be done soon. When I called and told them that my balcony was falling apart, I was informed that It would be done before the winter. It is now summer the next year, and nothing has been done. Having a three year old, I am fearful to allow him to play out there at all.
Now the part that really irks me, especially considering that I have never had anything fixed by them before, is that they have entered my apartment twice, without warning and without cause. The first time occurred when I called the electric company to complain that my a/c was not working, so they let them in when nobody was home. We were told of this, we only knew because a new thermostat was installed. The second time is what should bother anybody who values privacy. Coming home one day, I had noticed that the dead bolt on the front door was locked, aware that it was not I who locked it. After being in the house for an hour or two, I found a maintenance request in the bathroom stating that they were there to fix the toilet which was leaking from the top. Neither I nor my fianc?? had requested this and the maintenance request was not signed or filled out by anybody that should be. So for a second time, without warning and proper cause, they have entered my apartment. And it clearly states in the lease that they must notify you 24 hours before entering your apartment.
The front office is filled with selfish and miserable people. The people who lived downstairs have complained that they hear a baby crying and apparently that constitutes as unruly noise because we were warned about it. They are running a business, they care about nobody's well being. The police have a ball in here. They are here every day. Earlier in the year. Tenants were running an escort service with a 14 year old girl. Yopu would not want to be neighbors with a lot of these people. Unfortunately, we were young and nobody would rent to us. Stay away. Pay the extra money and live comfortably.
