OK people, IDK what some of you are talking about. First of all I've never ever had a problem with managment, actually they bent over backwards to get us in the apartments. Second, my huband works 2 hours away and sometimes stays over his friends house which leaves me alone in the apartment, and i NEVER have felt unsafe, ever. Also yes there are squirles in the attic, so what' you hear them run every once in a while but they are not hurting anyone.
