I have been living here for 3 years. Overall it is quite good.

The common areas are fairly well maintained, with the exception of some outdoor lights that are not promptly replaced. The staff is generally pleasant and responsive. There's plenty of parking. The apartment complex is located within a 5 minute or less drive of almost anything you need. The on-site laundry machines are not that great, but not awful. The area feels safe, but I heard there were a few break-ins/robberies about two years ago.

Fellow tenants, at least in my area, are nice to each other. There's a good mix of ------- and South Americans, as well as plain white Jersey guys like me. There's not a lot of socializing; most tenants are pre-occupied with work and quite a few have kids. There is not a lot of socializing in Bridgewater in general b/c everyone is focused on work and their own family.

The apartments do not come with carpeting. I think the management technically requires you to install carpeting everywhere, but they may be lenient as long as there is at least some carpeting. Carpeting can be expensive, but I would highly recommend it for comfort and because it will greatly reduce echo/noise.

Another move-in expense: curtains for the sliding glass door. Curtains are not included with the apartment.

This is one of the best and rational review of the apartments, just any apartments that I have read... Very informative and useful... Here is my two cents that there is a community yahoo group http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/Mt_Pleasant_Villas/ of this apartment complex that helps a lot for the new comers, for both info about the apartment and about the town ...
