i am also having neighbor issues, and management has been giving me hell about returning my security deposit back. they allowed a "very street" (trying to be as politically correct as possible) woman with a severe mental disorder who seemingly has a violent background to live below me on the first floor. i work hard and have to come home to an extremely uncomfortable situation and management could care less. i have formally complained about her and that i pay too much money to have anyone try to intimidate me. she's the size of queen latifah and looks/acts as though she's served time in jail. if i knew her full name and did a background check, i'm sure i'd discover she has a criminal background. nasty attitude is an understatement. mentally, she's so "out to lunch" that she and i can't even have an a rational adult conversation. she refused to say hello after i greeted her for the first time. she immediately began with an unwarranted attitude... bottomline,i feel very unsafe, and consequently, have been staying with family for over a month yet still paying rent... management of this association just wants guaranteed rent (subsidy) from the state and doesn't carefully screen the people they bring in to the complex. they're going to lose me, a hard working, educated, tenant who always pays on time and gets along well with other neighbors, and instead keep this woman because they're guaranteed funding from the state for a longer period of time than what the average tenant would stay. their defense is that she hasn't harmed me YET. they're only willing to evict her AFTER i've been physically assualted, and mind you, i was living there peacefully months prior to her arrival... i would recommend this complex, BUT MAKE CERTAIN YOU ASK ABOUT COMPLAINTS RELATED TO YOUR POTENTIAL NEIGHBORS AND GET IT IN WRITING. there should be a screening of all neghbors rather than allowing someone to move-in simply because they can afford rent. i pity the person that moves into my vacant apartment. BEWARE!!! i will give you the apartment # upon request. Inquire about your neighbors before signing the lease. ask them to be honest about complaints that have been received.

Aside from my major complaint, here are the positives:
1. perfect location to EVERYTHING you need/want
2. no pest/ants/roaches....however, although it isn't a major problem, expect to see centipedes ("thousand-leggers") every so often
3. good construction----unlike most apartments, you don't hear your neighbor's conversations or tv...a major plus for privacy and peace
4. heat and central air work perfectly
5. big balcony and nice walk-in closets
6. parking is never an issue
7. private entrance
8. very safe
9. most residents seem to be friendly and relatively young (mid-late 20s and 30s)professionals and/or small families...quiet and to themselves

Complaints:
1. one or two neighbors that ALWAYS allow their trash to blow across the property lawn which obviously cheapens/devalues the complex while attracting potential "critters". it's selfish and lazy. respect the property where you reside which is obviously shared by others...mind you, the groundskeeper does nothing to improve the situation....overall, the grounds are well-maintained and picturesque

2. you have to park in the back of the building and walk all the way to the front before reaching your front door step which is a hassle when carrying groceries or any cumbersome items (including furniture).

3. Expect the constant noise of passing cars/trucks and sirens to interfere with your peace and quiet if you have the window opened and your apartment is facing Finderne Ave.---very annoying.

There you have it---the truth told as i tried be as objective as possible while providing the pros and cons that the rental agent (very sweet lady---sophie) won't tell you (for obvious reasons). g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
