Management (in short hills, NOT Daisy) is unprofessional and downright rude!

I lived in Butler Arms on Boonton Ave for only one year and had no problems other than an unclean laundry room and lack of parking- that is until I moved out.

I followed all procedures that I was instructed to follow pertaining to vacating the premises at the end of my lease.

When I received my security deposit, I saw that I was charged for another month! I called the management office in Short Hills only to be met with a total disregard for my concerns.

That awful bookkeeper (Diane) actually had the nerve to hang up on me! She didn't even take the time to find out my name or my circumstances before throwing out a generic response riddled with rudeness and unprofessionalism.

I would NEVER recommend Butler Ridge/Arms to anyone strictly based on my dealings with management (again, Not Daisy- she's been nothing but wonderful).

Simply put, the management are nothing short of slum lords.

You might be thinking of Debbie. She hung up on me too, and she's very rude. At least at that level I'd make sure if you move into these apartments, keep a record of everything as I get the feeling they're trying to screw people. By the way. New Jersey state law requires them to include a letter indicating why your security was not returned. If they didn't, you might have potential grounds to go to small claims court and get your security back.
