The appartments in Carteret Gardens where in good condition, but the ground did not live up to such. The apartmenets are redone once a long term tenant moved out. Nevertheless, Middlesex Management should put some of the increased rent into the property of the of the complex. The laundry rooms were not maintained and not working properly. The appartments also need new balconys... I was told when I moved in about'98 that the balcony would be redone in the next year, but to say the least it was never done. There was also suppose to be a new exterior gate place around the complex which was also never done (they have recently put a partial new age along to back of the complex. Although I must say that there was a gardening company contract to upkeep the greenery aroung the complex. Although I lived on the one bed room side of the complex, there were a number of families that lived on that side with more that two children. The apartments were rented to families with more than three children because of the recreational basement. The complex also does not place restriction on (or do not enforce) the number of people living in an apartment. The family above me had five people living there and there was no recreational basement.
