Have been living in Burrough's Mill for two years, this place has some distinct advantages while has several disadvantages you wouldn't typically find at a "luxury" apartment community.
The Good:
Front office staff is very friendly, eager to help, they're all residents here so we share common interests.
The maintenance group is excellent as well, they're very prompt at fixing issues, same day repairs is the norm, very friendly group as well.
The overall grounds are very well kept however have been on the decline lately (in particular the lake). Still very nice compared to most places.
The apartments are very nice, crown molding everything is tastefully done. Above average sound proofing in between units (I've rarely heard my neighbors).
Overall this is a nice community, the people who live in the community are very friendly and quite. I really enjoy the nature in the area (Swans, Ducks, Geese) it certainly adds a nice touch. Full size washer and dryer is also a big bonus.
The Bad:
Parking is absolutely horrendous, you're assigned one spot, however if you ever plan on having guests finding parking is next to impossible especially on the weekends. This is the biggest downside to Burrough's Mill it certainly seems like they could of made additional provisions to resolve this, they know it's an issue.
The facilities and amenities are nice however lately they've been overran by teenagers using the areas as a hang out. I think the staff has noticed this problem as well but they don't seem to have any type of solution in place. I wouldn't mind if these people were actually residents however most of them are not and they don't respect the rules of the facilities nor know them. The doors to the facility lock and require keycard access however they're often propped open by people to allow outsiders access.
Pool is very small for a community of this size, I've seen bigger in peoples backyards.
Overall I do recommend it here because the good outweighs the bad, however things have been on the decline with regards to the facilities and grounds. This place is over priced for sure and wouldn't say it's worth it.
