On the Whole, It's All Right

The primary office staff is excellent and always responsive. Other things are not so stellar. I had a maintenance emergency on a Sunday: The maintenance person refused to come for a day as my kitchen flooded, but the management did apologize as the maintenance person was new, and it fixed the problem the next day. There is no overhead lighting in the bedrooms or the living room, which does compromise the brightness you can achieve inside. Noise can be a problem as the walls are thin. Parking is always an issue as there are too few spaces in proximity to the apartments unless you purchase a garage lease: During the summer and spring, this is not much of an issue, but in cold weather, rain, and snow, it would be nice not to have to walk half a block from one's car to one's door, especially while carrying packages. Overall, despite the great front office people and the generally placid surroundings, I think the enthusiasm of other residents is somewhat overstated. Of course, I don't know the local alternatives, so this may in fact be the best of what's out there.
