Beware!

The apartment is good. The neighbors are nice. The elevators are horrible. It is a small task to leave the building. You can literally grow old while waiting for an elevator. Usally one is on reserve and the other seems as though it is being hoisted up manually by rope while the third one just sits there with its doors closed. It takes no less than 15 minutes to get from your apartment to your car, then another five minutes to get out of the complex. When I first moved in there were endless firetrucks and sirens. This is a major issue when you are in a high rise and live on a high floor.
By the time I had walked down umpteen flights of stairs and then had to walk back up becaus of the overcrowed elevators after the FALSE FIRE ALARM, I decided that I would risk it and used my nose to smell if there was anything burning. Thank God I am still alive. I have lived in the apartments for 4 years and have received a rent increase each year of no less than $15. Mangement is always sticking some papers under your door about something that is important only to them. They also like to let themselves into your apatment when no one is home to change filters or something. The doormen are nice except for one who thinks that he is at the Taj Majal and gives a look like you should not be going up to your apartment or even in his domain.
If you want to maintain even a small social life, do not flutter your wings this way or they surely will lose all momentum.
Do yourself a favor and move to center city Philly because by the time the elevator comes you could have finished the apetizer!
This place leaves alot to be desired.
P.S. Every time the rent goes up, they make you give more money to be added to the securiy deposit that you PAID when you moved in! Go figure.
