Has Seen Better Days

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009

I lived here years ago but moved out of the state. When I moved back I decided this would be where I would like to live again. The place has some good points. The office staff is very helpful. I like the fact there are Doormen 24/7. Unfortunately they allow visitors to walk through the front door without having them ring the apartment they are going to visit. It wasn't like that when I lived here before. You weren't allowed into the building until you rang the person you are there to visit on the directory board. That could be a safety issue.
The apartment sound proofing is actually very good due to the buildings thick walls. It is a very quiet place to live. My neighbors and the people you run into on the elevators are very friendly. The apartments also have tons of square footage and most have oversized balconies.
A big plus is all of the utilities are included except for cable and phone.
The grounds are very well maintained. Parking is abundant even with assigned parking.
Maintenance is very quick. I have had some issues in my apartment and they have always come out about an hour or two after my call to the office.
The gym is very nice. They do a great job at keeping it clean and it is never really crowded. It would be great if it were open 24 hours though. The doorman locks the doors at 11pm if no one is using it.
Location is ideal. Close to shopping, several major highways, 10 minute ride to Philadelphia.
The lobbies in each building are very nice and well maintained but once you get past them there are some issues that should be addressed by the new owners of this place. The buildings hallways need updating in the worst way. The cheap and old industrial carpeting needs to be replaced due to heavy stains, spots, and wear. The hallway walls are an 80's style sponge painting that makes me cringe every time I get off of the elevator and walk to my apartment. There are a lot of mis-matched light fixtures on the hallway ceilings.
When Verizon installed FIOS they also installed this horrible, cheap looking plastic cornace molding to cover up the wires. The general repairs to the interior builing itself are half-assed and they use bargain basement materials. An example would be cheap vinyl tiles in the service elevator and have been gouged by people moving their belongings in. Wear and tear inside the buildings is very evident and the repairs are obvious.
The upgraded kitchens are cheap looking compared to other apartment complexes in the area who have invested in their properties. No granite (laminate granite look a-like instead), no stainless steel, cheap kitchen cabinets, vinyl flooring not ceramic. They are painting the tile in the bathrooms instead of replacing them. Definately not worth the upgrade price ( $100/mo.) The old kitchens are the original 1960's style when the building were built. They aren't in the best of shape and obviously out dated.
Laundry can be a real pain at times. Usually there are two or three washers broken down at the same time. The washers and dryers are old and could be replaced.
The buildings have seen better days and it might be a good time for the property company to make some improvements to bring back it's faded "luxury." It will help out in the long run and make them comparable to the Cherry Hill Towers down the road.

I must say that I disagree with much of this review. I feel completely taken care of, safe and very comfortable in my home at The Towers of Windsor. I am thrilled with the ENTIRE staff. Denise (building manager) is always available should you need to speak with her. The doormen are like family to my husband and myself. They can never do enough to assist you with groceries as you come in from shopping, they open the door for you as you come in, run out to open the car door as you pull up and at the same time they are keeping an eye on everything that goes on in and around the building. I happen to LOVE my kitchen and my bathroom. I still have to pinch myself at times when I realize all that is included in the VERY reasonable rent. The landscaping is A plus. I am proud to have visitors come to my home here. They are always so impressed with the way The Towers are run. I find the buildings (both of them, my parents are in one Tower, my husband and I in the other)clean as can be. The maintenance staff are friendly and helpful.
The sense of community within these buildings is thick. Everyone is friendly and outgoing. I literally feel like my neighbors are now a part of my family. It's all about the people... office staff, maintenance, doormen ( Bill, Nelson & Bob are incredible at multi-tasking) and neighbors. I wouldn't change a thing!

We obviously agree with the Managment team, the "A" plus landscaping, the great maintenance team, and the friendly neighbors. I am standing firm the outdated interiors, sponge painted walls and old carpeting in the hallways, and the worn out/broken down laundry facilities. You might want to take a ride over the one of the other Morgan properties, The Colonials. They spent a chunk of money to update and they are installing washer and dryer units in every unit, rented or not. Without sounding like a snob, I would not live there due to the loud tenants and am happy here but at least the company invested wisely in those buildings to bring them into this century...
