I lived in this apartment for a year, before I escaped last August. It was my first apartment, so needless to say, I was excited. My boyfriend and I chose the "Cherry Hill" because it's supposed to be respectable, safe and all that good stuff.
With a toddler, that was very important to us. Well..... how wrong was I'' The week before I was supposed to move there, I saw them on Channel 6 news... they were reporting on the mold, cats, sewage problems...etc. But, you know, when you're 21 years old, you just want to get out of your moms' house. So I let it go. Then, 2 days before I was to drop off the security payment, I call them just to verify who to make it payable to. Those b*tches told me that they gave the apartment to someone else by mistake and that they had another one for me, it would just take 2 more weeks. You would think I would get the hint there, but I guess not. 2 weeks later, ready to move AGAIN-- they tell me the old tenant hadn't moved out yet and they had ANOTHER apartment for me. By now, I'm like, what is going on'
The third apartment, was finally ready. On moving day, they told me to come get the keys between 2 and 4pm on Saturday. So when I get there... the office is closed. Luckily, the doors were unlocked. It only went down from there, but because I'm here at work, I don't have the time to write it all. I could mention how dryer broke and remained that way for 2months and how I had to airdry my sons clothes, or how the washer broke right after that, or the little coccoons these nasty bugs would leave in the hallway, the thin walls,how you had to park on the curb, the Cherry Hill PD,... the list goes on and on. If I had one nice thing to say, it would be that the area is nice. If you have kids, there are 2 parks conveniently located up the street. But you can always find a playground. Those apartments just goes to show that EVERYWHERE has a ghetto... including Cherry Hill.
