Don't be fooled by the rental manager or the model! We were told the apartment had "newer" appliances, but I think their idea of newer is anything that is more then twenty years old and not working properly. Ever since we moved into this apartment complex we have had nothing but problems. The rental office hardly returns our calls and refuses to repair properly appliances that are constantly broken. That is if you are not on welfare or Section 8 Housing. They receive brand new appliances from the state and one townhouse on Section 8 even received a chest freezer! I would call that a necessity. Examples of poor and shoddy conditions are as follows: our washer has been fixed seven times and still leaks all over the kitchen floor,the lint trap does not work and the lint goes directly into the dryer a major fire hazard, the refridgerator leaks, our oven has not been working in two months, the pilot lights go out constantly, the exhaust fan over the range is not an exhaust fan and spews grease all over the kitchen every time you cook, the sink leaks underneath the cabinet in the kitchen, water was leaking in the hallway closet from the apartment above and the ceiling is caving in from water damage, the hot water in the shower runs out after ten minutes, the cracked toilet was replaced with a used and dirty toilet after it was rocking on uneven ground, the bathroom floor is caving in, there are two-pronged outlets in the living and bedroom areas (which are against safety and fire code regulations),bugs all over in the warmer months, the apartment constantly smells of mold, and the neighbors leave trash in the enclosed common areas. I am highly dismayed with the rental staff, the owner of the property, and the maintenance staff. One maintenance worker explained to me they are not allowed to replace broken appliances! To pay $675 a month for this place and for all the problems, it is not worth it. I think the leasing agents and its owner should be fined for providing such awful living conditions. If you want to live in the ghetto of Cherry Hill, Waterford apartment complex is the place for you. If you expect clean, safe living conditions please look elsewhere.
