The reason the electric bills are so high is that the windows suck and let in as much cold/hot air as you could imagine. I should know, I have had maintenance here at least 10 times and sometimes they say there should have been new windows put in 10 years ago and they are now "On order" supposedly, if that is true who knows how many years it will take. They have also told me it was MY problem, that I should get some plastic or weatherstripping or whatever you use for windows and fix it myself and do the maintenance work. Same thing with the ancient doors. I have measured and made photos of a half inch gap on my door plus it is warped, and they REFUSE to give me a new door. Same story, they tell me to fix it myself and get some weatherstripping. But guess what' Even if I could do the work of maintenance and pay for it myself there aint no "weatherstripping " big enough for my door. Enough said. At least for the electric bill problem.
