When I started looking for an apartment 4 months ago, I happened upon this site, and kept researching up until I moved a couple months ago. I took the reviews with a grain of salt, and I'm glad that I did. All the complaining about high electric prices. The first month it will be high because Atlantic City Electric requires a deposit. My first full month bill was for $130, and that was with the deposit included! Apparently the people writing the majority of these reviews are either kids moving out for the first time that don't understand, or people that just like to waste their electric all the time. I still have the old windows, so even with all the leaking air and a cold spell in April, my bill was very manageable. I work 9-5 so I turn my heat down or off when I'm out and keep my heat at 65 when I'm home. I bought energy efficient flourescent bulbs at walmart for $10 for a pack of six. I do at least 3 loads of laundry each week in the apartment. All it takes is a little conservation on your part and you won't have any problems. And when people complain about how low their parents' electric bills are, I have to laugh. I would be willing to bet they have gas heat there, of course their electric bill will be lower, they have to pay a gas bill. The only gripe I have is the high rent, although it is beneficial to weed out some of the low-lifes that tend to gravitate toward other apartments in this area. Tammy, my leasing agent, is awesome. Always helpful and very friendly, it's nice to live somewhere that values good customer service. They are always making updates, unlike some of the slumlords out here. So far I am very satisfied.

All I can do is laugh!!! Atlantic City Electric dosen't always require a deposit first of all. If you have had electric in the past and your account is in good standing you don't need a deposit. If you do trust me your first bill won't be 130. Thats what they want you to think 130 won't even cover you deposit if you have one. Your deposit is based on the average electric for the unit from the year before. Average electric for the complex is 250-400 a month. Call AC electric before you move in and ask them average rates of electric for the unit you are moving into the complex and they'll give you the month to month bills from the prior rental. Of course now the electric bills will go down in april and may because of the weather is getting nicer and you don't need your ac/heat. You'll still get a 200 bill just for using your dryer (which takes about 2 hours to try 12 items)and your dishwasher. If you only do 3 loads of laundry a week in that bucket of a washer then you must not have very many clothes. Oh and Tammy until you really are a resident at Cherrywood I wouldn't be writing a review on somewhere you have never lived and probably can't afford.
