My husband and I moved in the beginning of march and needless to say we were given a courtesy call to come pick up the keys because are apartment was ready. We were there within the hour and the apartment was FAR from ready. They were still steam cleaning the carptet and we were told to wait three hours before putting anything down on them. Well when we came back it did not smell like they were cleaned - it was completely piss riden. The terrible odor of cat urine fills the entire 1000 sqft apartment. We called and complained after numerous attempts of steam cleaning ourselves with no avail. But they will not replace the carpets becuase we have dogs ( THAT ARE POTTY TRAINED TO GO OUTSIDE) and they said there were no cats in this apartment before, yet when i moved the fridge out to clean the dirt and dust bunnies that are everywhere there were 23 cat nip mouse toys.... hmmm no cats huh.. yeah, then we have a couple of light switches that either don't work or are backwards such as our kitchen and dining room. Our floor feels if there were holes cut out the size of a square foot and patched over with remnant wood because the floor divets in numerous places. the handles on the bathtub are broken you actually have to push and turn inorder for them to work. our toilet is not bolted in the floor so when you sit or get up the entire toilet will move and it will leak endlessly unless you push in the exact spot is supposed to be in. COuntless holes throughout the walls (underneath the sink behind the dryer, etc.) a clogged dryer vent which can cause a fire number one and number two makes us have to run the dryer longer to dry even the lightest of loads. Our AC did not work it just blew hot air (its a central air unit) the office said it had to be a little hotter before they would even consider looking at it yet our thermostat said 89 degrees. We were cooking! Not to mention our poor dogs were panting none stop. We went out and got a filter and replaced the old disgusting one ourselves. The old one looked like it could have been the original (easily 3 years old and completely black) the ac worked perfectly after that. the Worst thing about MILLBRIDGE is the countless drug deals that go on right infront of you in broad day light, and more importantly infront of children. the loud cars of the drug dealers that start up at 2 3 4 oclock in the morning and wake you up. Our poor neighbors have a new born that never sleeps because of the loud noise in the complex. It in general is a very bad place to move. The front of the development by the leaseing office is very decieving becuase it is beautiful and the sample units are gorgeous. FYI the carpets that are in the sample units are not even the carpets that are being installed if any are being installed that is. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE IT IS HELL'S HOLE here. We can not wait until our lease is done.

We just moved in and we are having similar problems. We are desperate andwant to find help from an State agency. Any Ideas? Maybe we can help each other.

From:Anonymous My husband and I just moved into a two bdr apt from our one bdr because we are expecting a baby-big mistake. I can not begin to tell the horror we are going through.Our ac is not working, leak in our br ceiling, broken doorbell, etc. When we moved in nothing was done and we were infested with roaches! And our neighbors-trash!Its been so terrible. We are trying to find normal souls in this complex that are going through this nightmare. All of us need to get together and share. How can we get in touch?
