I have lived here for 2.5 years and it is not because my time was enjoyable. On our moving day the a/c was broken so they had to postpone our unloading for another week later. That should have been my clue but being a newly wed we were just so excited to live in a place together and could not see in between the lines. Overall or a/c broke 5 times and the maintenance people took their time to come to fix it. We froze when it did not turn off. We sweat when it did not come on. Oh and the cabinets in the kitchen do not match, the drawers alignment keeps falling off, the tile is breaking in the bathroom, there are TONS of SILVERFISH living within the bricks so they keep coming into the apartment, and the walls are thin so you can hear everyone conversations. There is not enough storage if you have a newborn. Everyone knows that baby outgrows their clothes faster than the months so where can you put all of their things (toys incl.) when they don't need it and you are planning to have another child' I have a ton of other things to say about here but I think you get my point... NOT A PLACE TO LIVE. Oh and here is another clue that my husband and I ignored.. A man was telling us not to move in here as he walked out of the office. We thought he was crazy. Don't think that of us. You have been warned.

I feel for you. We also, lived there for 3 glorious weeks! Move in day we pulled up in a moving truck and the maintenance men were there getting our apt ready. Inside the cabinets were wet paint, the carpet cleaner had fallen over and dirty cat piss smelling water was all over the place in the living room. The window blinds were broken, the place was a disaster. We had to wait 4 hours before we could start moving in. My sister and her kids pulled up and I was never so ashamed of where I was living. That night we were in bed and about 10pm I hear water so I got up to check. The bathtub was over flowing with sewage because the person upstairs was flushing food down the toilet. Every night the same thing would happen. Vegatable skins and garbage filled up in our bathtub. It was awful dealing with the staff, we fought constantly to get maintenance and I finally had it so we asked for our deposit back. They tried to move us into a new building but they were so mean and nasty about it we decided we wanted out. So we drove around the corner and rented at the Heathers. We got our deposit back eventually. My boyfriend was in the supermarket recently and one of the girls from the office told him it was new owners and all has changed for the better. From the sound of your letter nothing has changed. I wish there was a way to let people know how bad the place is. I bet my boyfriend was the guy who warned you coming out of the office because we tried that out of frustration. I hope your new home is much happier.

Not to be mean or anyuthing, but if you look at the apartment before you move in and you have a baby, wouldn't you look at the closet space? And apartment living isn't exactly ideal for multiple children, you should probably get a house if you are going to continue to expand your family. This is why apartmentratings.com is so funny. People post when they have a bad experience but never do when things are going right. You can't please everyone. I never hear my next door neighbors, NEVER, the upstairs I hear sometimes, but I live directly underneath of them so eventually I am going to hear something.
As for IrishTracy - didn't the Heathers just have a sink hole that displaced a bunch of people? If you were one of them I am sure you would be singing a much different song. As you can see they are all flawed in some way or another. Apartments suck - but if you have to rent you have to be understanding
