I've changed my mind...This place is terrible!

Awhile back, I wrote a very positive review for this apartment complex. I've since changed my mind as everything that could possibly go wrong - HAS!
(1) We were told our balcony was going to be repaired (along with everyone else's) over the summer and that it would be a two-week long period once they notified you via flyer. Not only were we unable to enjoy our balcony the ENTIRE summer, but it's STILL under repair.
(2) The hot water in our building is horrendous! One day, it's scalding hot. The next, it's cold. We're told because it's not a residential house, they can keep the temperature up real high. It's terrible. I can't tell you how many times I've burned myself.
(3) The plumbing is AWFUL! One of our bathrooms has had serious problems since we moved in. Just this week, one of the pipes burst through the wall - water everywhere! One of the maintenance guys - who is NOT a plumber - put a bandaid on it. I bet in a week, we still have the same problem. They don't fix things; they just put temporary patches on them.
(4) Since we moved in, the cup that holds the detergent in our dishwasher has been broken. We've asked numerous times for this to be fixed, but they 'claim' they can't fix it. So we have to wash our dishes at least twice. Thank God we don't pay for water!
(5) Laundry. Well, in about a month or so, it'll probably cost $4 to wash and dry one load. The cost has gone up DRAMATICALLY since we moved in.
(6) All the little things that add up - from our supposed 'updated' kitchen (which is falling apart); to the water spots starting to appear in all the rooms even after we had our ceilings ripped apart just one year ago; heat being turned on too early or too late; same thing with the AC; paying $200 to use the pool...the list goes on and on! Their claim of luxury is false! The apartments are huge, but wow - you do not get what you pay for.
Our lease is up at the end of January, so we're looking at more modern apartments to move to in our town. We found one that does a rent history check and requested that from Country Club Towers. Would you believe the management staff had the gall to say we needed to pay $20 IN A MONEY ORDER for that to happen! Awful, absolutely awful. It's no wonder people are leaving. I absolutely cannot wait to get out of this complex. For many years, I was satisfied but now - as everything begins to fall apart and I've seen much newer places for just about the same price - I'm outta here. They can keep their so-called luxury!

And hello to you! I have actually lived in NJ all my life, so I am more than happy to share anything I can with you. My family and I did move to another apartment complex in Clifton. It was originally called Korman Communities, and it's now called Ave: Clifton. It's right down the road from Country Club Towers and is perfect for my husband and daughter. I'm not sure if you've checked it out, but the building is brand new and it's gorgeous. I've also lived in about six other counties in NJ, so if you have any questions, I'm happy to help in any way that I can. I don't see a way to send you an email directly though.

Hi there, first of all I am terribly sorry about your situation. My husband and I along with our 18 month old son were considering moving into this building but are reconsidering after all we have read. We are from Baltimore, MD and know nothing about NJ. We are currently living in a high-rise and love it...which is why we were considering moving to the Country Club Towers. I read you found a couple of other apartments that are more modern and for around the same price. I am hoping you can guide us in the right direction and possibly giving us some names or locations to look at. We greatly appreciate your time and help. It's so hard to look for an apartment when you are not familiar with the neighborhoods and their safety. Good luck to you and we look forward to hearing from you.
