Ive been living in these apartments for over 8 years now in the martha ave complex...This place sucks...everything is OLD & I mean OLD!...everything from the old steam radiators to the electricity, piping & fuse box is old fashioned...even the moldings on the door & walls...I tried stripping the paint of the door moldings & counted 7 layers of paint!...If anything goes wrong the super takes forever to fix it & promises to fix other things but never does...leaves you waiting for years & Im serious...Im still waiting for him to change the cracked tiles from the bathroom since 2003!...these apartments were infested with mice...I caught about 10 with mouse traps although I havent heard or seen any since the winter...maybe they exterminated or maybe they just come out in the winter...hopefully I wont be here next winter to find out...The water in the bathtub came out a rusty color several times...when I called to tell the super he tells me they are working on the plumbing...water goes from hot to cold depending if neighbors are taking a shower at the same time...extremely annoying!...in the summer if you have more than 2 A.C's or to many appliances running at one time the power goes out...worst thing is the fuse box is outside on the other side of the apartment building & is locked therefore you have to call super to flick the switch...which could take hours depending if hes there or feels like answering the phone...also is infested with ants bbut no cokroaches though...one thing I do love about this place is that there are many children here which is good if you have kids...also the grass is enclosed in the middle which is good for the kids to play its safe...if you are not polish people will stare at you...race is definately an issue here...beware if your not polish your not welcome...Parking is a nightmare...youll find yourself circling around the block for a good half hour before you find parking which you will find like a mile away from your apt...Overall I would not recommend this apartment..there are so many other nicer places...these apts. need major updating...
