good location, great price, small, fairly old

the location couldn't be better for commuting into NYC, and the prices are SO MUCH cheaper than you'll find elsewhere, like jersey city or hoboken. but you can tell that the apartments are quite old, and that the rent is cheap. i have a 2 bedroom, and it's quite small. the kitchen is large, with room for a table, but not much counter space. and you have to supply your own fridge. hardwood floors throughout are nice, and the fact that heat and hot water are included in the rent is a nice bonus. be prepared to take your laundry to a nearby laundrymat - there are not enough machines in the complex and they are often not working. but, if you're looking for someplace cheap while saving for a house (like me) and you want to be close to transportation to nyc, it's a pretty good deal.
