I've lived here approx 5 years and have seen management change for the worse. The lady who was "landlord" was considerate and compassionate (even if only to placate her tenants...had a much better business sense) regarding the constant lack of heat in the winter, and lack of hot water year round, but this new "landlord" Bill, is consistantly rude to me and the surrounding tenants who call to discuss these and other maintanance issues. There is an older woman (70 year old) who lives next to me who is on a fixed income. She is occasionally a week late in rent (doing without food to pay this rent) and I've been with her when she's called the office because her sink was leaking onto the floor and was told "when she caught up on rent, they'd access the situation". VERY POOR PRACTICE!! It would appear this new guy is more into the new incoming tenants who are paying top dollar for drafty windows and leaky faucets, rather than the seasoned tenants who have been here for numerous years, overlooking the rundown complex and paying his inflated salary!! My rental increase was 2% higher this past year with new management...possibly covering the cost of the pamphlet that comes out monthly now telling us to "wave to our maintance man" and the coffee and donuts supplied at the office for those who do not care to attend. Rather than sending out monthly newsletters that talk about "astronomy", how about spending some of our rent money on repairing leaking roofs, windows that fall in with a good wind, disgusting laundry rooms, roach infested bldgs over the storeage rooms etc. The standing joke here is that if you call maint, you'll call at least 3 X's before they get the job done right.

Many of us business people are here and remain here for the closeness of PATCO but if you dont mind driving an extra 10 min, most apts in Blackwood and Lindenwold offer much more (central air, diswasher, garbage disposal etc) for slightly less money...and the grounds are much better kept. Just handed in my 60 day notice to vacate 3 weeks ago and was told I would not get my security deposit back because I was 2 days short of actually making the "60 days". If you are looking for temporary living, this is the place to go but if you're looking to stay....your money is better spent elsewhere with better management. This place seemed to run like a well oiled machine with the previous "landlord" (Marie I believe her name was) in charge. Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7
