Don't be stupid - LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE SAY

I'm just pasting in a review I wrote about this place at Yelp.com. In addition, check your lease to see if it states that a good percentage of the residents are Section 8 - they don't tell you that on the tour! Also, this is Ryan Gibbons, D-1017, remember the guy who put in maintenance requests for two months before getting a response'
"Where do I begin' As a resident, I get more friendliness and consideration from my neighbors than I do the building management team. We've lived her for two months and are more than happy with the area -- there's a park across the street divided by a river and it's a treat walking our dogs there every morning. But, that's just about it...
When we decided to move in, we were told the apartment would be ready in two weeks (as all of them are going through "major" renovations). When we decided to move out from our old apartment, we found a couple to take our spot and told them the day they could move in. Needless to say, our new place in Collingswood took close to a month to finish -- that was a headache!
Once we finally moved in, of course, nothing is what it was supposed to be. Not that it matters because we don't own the place, but we were told that kitchen would have high-end stainless steel appliances. Ever hear of Hot Touch Appliances' Crap! All of the appliances weren't nearly as sufficient as my sisters Little Tikes kitchen set. The dishwasher was a whole other story... door lock was broke the first time we washed our dishes so needless to say, that was a huge mess. But, that's just the kitchen. The bathroom shower didn't even have a faucet on it - just a hole above the tiles! I thought it was European at first but after hours of internet searching, I came to the conclusion they just never installed one... ha!
There's so much more I could go in to, but it's just not worth it. On day two, it rained pretty bad and leaked through the windows... and has been every time it rains. We called a total of four (4) times now to get maintenance up here to fix these issues but they must be too busy. It's been two months since we moved in and the new carpets they installed are already ruined from the rain, the dishwasher probably needs to be replaced and we wound up having to buy an after market shower head. This is by far the worst choice of apartments I've ever made.
Without sounding cocky, we got an apartment on the top floor because the price was exactly what we were paying at our old place, all of the bills (excluding ---- raping Comcast) were included in the rent and we have a great view. Obviously, the rent is more per month the higher you are in the building. So, we're paying all this money each month for rent, we schedule times for them to come out and fix the problems, and they never do. My suggestion, find somewhere else to live - there's never any parking so you're forced to park blocks away and randomly, police are in the hallways waiting for God knows who to come home and arrest them. Also, management posts evictions signs on the front doors of the building for people who are late on their rent. We haven't been late on rent and we never will be because that must be the most embarrassing thing to come home to. Are they even allowed to do that'
We took pictures of everything because these people seem sketchy enough that they'll try and charge us for all this stuff. Oh, and apparently they are -------s about returning security deposits. Luckily I have tons of lawyer friends that are excited to see what happens when we move out at the end of our 1-year lease.
The apartments aren't what they say they are so I advise you to look elsewhere.
Thanks for reading my rant!"

ryan i agree with you, i have lived here for like 4years now, maintenance is the worst, like you said it takes forever for them to come and fix anything, i moved in and had older cabinets and stove, my drawers in the kitchen is terrible, the electricity goes out a lot during the summer months, only to have it back on in a hour, a building like this should have proper care of electricity, the gym needs to be remodeled, those old machines has to go, all this remodeling and no new gym equipment, what a way to show new tenants a old gym, the only good thing about living here is the convenience other than that it is just ridiculous

I thought I was the only one.
I had to get a lawyer.
Lessons we learn from poor management.
