This is my first apartment. I really wish I could walk away from this place going "awww..I'll miss my first apartment", but no. I'm going to be dancing the hell out of here in November.

I lived in the C building, and currently now in the D building. The C building was atrocious. The building had a MICE problem. Yes, MICE. We set up traps under the sink and would kill at least 2-3 mice a WEEK. This was disconcerning because we are clean people..but the building was a MESS. I went to the office and got laughed at because I was sick of the mice in the place. Ohh, I'm sorry..I guess we're all just supposed to be OK living with rodents''

I then upgraded (Why did I do that') my apartment to basically the largest 1 bedroom for not even $100 more. Basically, I was getting ripped off at my current rate in the C building. I ordered new furniture on my move in day and I actually had to send my sofa back because it was too big for the elevator...The "FREIGHT" elevator is a joke. A JOKE. It's basically a normal sized elevator with steel. That's ALL.

So far, I have to say, the D building IS better than the C building. It seems that this building has more long term residents who have been here for a while.... when the place rented to DECENT people.

But this still sucks. These air conditioners seem to work whenever they want and by that I mean sometimes they are cold and other times not so much. These elevators are REALLY slow. The water pressure in the shower is just depressing. The maintenance is AWFUL. As of right now, I have been waiting 5 days for my bathroom sink to be unclogged. Yes, I've tried a plunger and I've tried drano. Something is wrong..and they just won't come. 5 Days with a sink full of water is making me sick to my stomach...

Oh and that lady in the maintenance office' You have GOT to be kidding me. Who did she sleep with to get that job' She is the most unprofessional "PERSON" ever. It's incredible who, I mean, WHAT they hire here.

What really kills this place are the residents. It's that Section 8 crap that is RUINING this place. It's not that "people on section 8 are bad".. it's just that, it GENERALLY brings in a bad crowd of people. So because of the Section 8'ers, they bring in a staff of people with that same "don't care" attitude. This way, they have residents who will pay rent (Thanks to our hard earned tax dollars) and employees who will work cheap and get a free place to live.

For those who love the area (I do) check out Haddonview in Westmont. It's similar in pricing, all utilities included...and I don't think they have the Section 8 crap there!! Can't wait to go apartment shopping soon!!!

I lived there 1 1/2 years. I have huge cockroaches in my apt coming from an apt that was gutted from a man who moved out after living there for years. I had a mouse in my apt that i never caught. Every 6 weeks maintenance had to unclog my tub. I had a broken window that was reported to maintenance three times, I then verbally spoke to the new manager, she did nothing about it. But its funny its consider an emergency or their emergency line. Never anywhere to park. someone took off his side mirror on his car. someone tried to break in my front door saying they thougt it was the office. I had a man knocking on my bedroom window. I had neighbors that blasted their music as if they are the only ones in the building. I lost count of how many times i stepped in dog poop outside and in the hallway. the pool that they want you to pay extra for, the water is green. my air conditioners hardly never worked. the heat never worked in the largest bedroom never worked but i got tired of telling maintenance, so i bought a portable. i found a needle outside. the stairway door that leads outside was never locked. Never failed when i went through the stairwell to my car, i would find a cockroach, i paid my rent every month on time, yet when i asked for a two week extension on my lease since my new house wasnt quite ready, they said no. what a way to treat the tenants.

I'm moving to Haddonview next week. I signed the lease a few days ago. By the way, the Heights is once again raising the rent. Good luck on the next few months in the Heights. You'll need it.

ok i checked out the mouse thing adn it is all true, i drove by c building and asked someone sitting outside and he had been there 3 years and killed 4 mice in that time, they do spray but he said it does no good, and a black friend told me that the use of section 8 type is white people code for black people and it makes sense how canyou tell just by looking at someone if they are on section8. the person i geuss assumes that the blackpeople here are on section8. I geuss he doesn't think black people can have a job and pay rent like him . wow and i geuss the person is ashame enough to not want to just come right out and say black and hispanic people, sad
