When i was picking out appartments, this community caught my attention by its features and advertisments:
highly rated school system, security, parking, prices, and service.
Now i've been living here for a year, and i have a great urge to move.
1. The security system is a joke. Anyone can drive in at any time, naming a random number of what is supposed to be their apartment (although, in the lease it says that you must get a pass for your guests). Further more in the past two months the gates were constantly open, and anyone could and still can drive in without even a check.
2. Constant problems with the hot water. Sometimes the water in the shower is freezing cold. That means that one has to plan to take the shower ahead of time, as the hot water might not be there. When the problem was mentioned to the person from the maintenance office, he told us that the problem exists, that the heaters cannot handle the demand when many people use their water at the same time.
3. During the winter it was very cold in the house. At some pointr the temperatures dropped to 62 degrees. When we called maintenance, they came, checked the batteries and told us that he could not do anything about the problem. Only after we called the manager of the maintenance, he came and adjusted the boiler, which helped a bit, but in a week when it got colder outside the problem persisted.
4. The biggest problem is the parking, especially if the family has 2 cars. Recently we recieved a hope of a more ordered system when one space on the lot was reserved for each apartment. However, we very quickly realised that there was still problems, as our reserved spot was frequently occupied. When we called the office to try and get the other car removed, they told us that there was no one available and we should find an empty space, which on occasion meant driving to a different court. There is an even greater problem in parking the second car. There are not enough parking spaces to handle all of the cars of the court. In the lease it is written that the parking lots are off limits for heavy trucks and construction vehicles. However we frequently see these rules get broken. Also, there is no enforcement of these rules by the office.
