This is both an opinion and a plea.
First the plea. If anyone reading this has a contact with The Dept.of Homeland Security or the Housing Authority in N.J. please have them investigate this place. Have them check on the units that have several people living in them. If all these people are here legally why are there so many P.A. plates on the cars here' This complex is in New Jersey so why are vehicles with out of state registrations given parking permits by the management here. I wonder as well is it even legal to have parents and young children living in a one bedroom apartment or several adults in one unit' If you live here as I do, until my lease expires, please join me in writing letters to the county as well as the state government.

Now for the opinion(s)..
Management: The property manager and staff could not care less about the residents who want to live here in peace and quiet. They tell you if you wish to make a complaint you must put it in writing. If your complaint is deemed valid the offending parties may get a warning. If it is deemed invalid you may be subject to legal action. I was told once that some policies are hard to enforce because of the "language barrier". Well now you are able to communicate well enough to collect your app fees, security money, and rent don't you' A few other things they ignore are laundry drying on the patios/balconies. They send out notices forbidding this but will only act on it if you sign a complaint. By the time they act on it the laundry is down and you have made a false complaint. Trash around the dumpsters, I have watched maintenece ignore someone laying a bag of trash next to the dumpster. Instead of advising the person to put it in the dumpster or doing it themselves they just drove away in the untagged and presumably unregistered/uninsured truck, Delran P.D. care to comment'

Complex/neighbors: The complex grounds are very well kept that is the only bright spot in this nightmare. The dim spots are numerous. Parking is insane, you get one spot assaigned per unit. The guest spots are always taken by the P.A. tagged cars with the blue parking tags management issues. Did I mention the white vans' They are usually parked illegally (in someone's spot) and/or over the line into the adjoining parking slot. The drivers of these vans have a habit of blowing the horn in the early a.m. when picking up the people who they work with. The cooking some people do here stinks. I understand that to them it smells good. I spoke to management about this once and was told that because it is part of their culture there is nothing they can do even though the lease mentions strong smelling foods. So I guess that means that I must endure the smells and change my way of living to allow someone who may or may not be leagl to do as they please. Children run around yelling and screaming in the areas behind the buildings and in the parking lots well into the night. Are there not rules about noise in the lease' Oh wait I forgot about the language barrier.
Security at the gate' Yeah right. Anyone can get in at anytime. I was riding my bike one day and was amazed when a car rolled up and the driver said he was going to apartment 90 W. Is there such a unit' That part does not matter as the car went to bulding 22. That made me feel real safe.

Lets talk now about the most common problem here, BED BUGS!!!

Bed bugs are, as management tells us, "a common problem in this country". Well now that's interesting as I have lived in two other complexes in this area and have never encountered them until I foolishly moved here. I have seen mattresses being taken out of the back of those white vans and hauled into an apartment. I have even seen, as I was walking through the complex one evening, a mattress being taken out of the dumpster. Hello Board of Health are you reading this' Once again management asked me to sign a complaint, but was advised that they could not, or maybe they just chose not to, enter a unit without a reason. I guess if they don't see it it must not be happening. I could go on about the little things like the laundry center smell, the abandoned vehicles taking up guest spots, or the 1,000 other reasons I hate this place but management would not care. Only I and my fellow residents can try to fix these things.

The mattress police were here. In an effort to detect bed bugs early a few times a year bed bug inspections are done. This is one of the joys of living here. On your scheduled day you are required to make sure nothing is around your bed and that your bed is be stripped, no blankets, sheets, or mattress pads. This is required so a total stranger can touch your bed while you are or are not home. Kinda creepy isn't it' You are at work and strangers are in your home touching your bed and looking around. Are they going through your drawers, closets, or maybe reading your mail' I wonder how the requirement to allow them to inspect your bed fits into the 4th amnendment.

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Any attorneys reading this care to comment' Or maybe a class action suit' Copy of notice(s) can be provided.

Will post more as further events dictate.

Management if anyone cares enough to read this and you have a response please do, I'm certain others would like to hear your side. I have been taking notes, keeping all the notices that are stuffed through my mail slot, and have many pictures of some of the things I have seen and endured here. (Pics have not been posted out of courtesy to those individuals in the pictures). I would ask that a noticeable and serious effort be made immediately to address these things or I may write an editorial for any and all newspapers that will publish my tale of horror at The Glen.

Man...it's been years since I lived there, and I guess it doesn't surprise me that it sounds like it's getting worse. For people who are allured to this cheap place, be forewarned. When I was living there my air conditioner blew more heat than it did cold air, but they still refused to change the unit out. I had to resort to buying my own instead of dealing with H.G. I even wrote a complaint to the managment and I basically got back a harshly worded response. Needless to say, I didn't stay there much longer. Moved to Mount Laurel instead and it was infinitely better.

Well I too was apart of the collateral damage from Hunters Glen apartments. I lived there for about 10 months and I hated every minute of it. I had neighbors that were always loud and I thought never went to sleep. I had a horrible family that had at least 7 people that were living in a 1 bedroom apartment below me. The kids were never inside they were always playing in front of my apartment door. Also, one morning I found that some kids cut the window on my soft top jeep. I went to the front office and they said they could do anything for me. I think that it was they just didn't want to do anything about. Please don't move to these apartments. I would really like to turn these people in for the horrible things that they are getting away with. My last words are DON'T MOVE TO HUNTERS GLEN!!!!!!

My friend who lives in a housing project in brooklyn gets better service than I get at Hunters glen. My daughter says that the kids in the high school calls hunters glen apts the ghetto of delran. She is ashamed to let anyone know that she lives there. Can't wait for my lease to be up, (5 months to go)then I am going to get as far away from this place as I can. My complaints are numerous: no heat in the winter, no air in the summer, parking violation stickers on my car (that is a nightmare to remove) even though my car is registered to my parking space with the management office, squirrels living in the attic and walls that keeps you up all night, complaints to management that results in a notice to cease and desist or face eviction proceedings. sudden and abrupt changes in the water temperature from scalding hot to freezing cold while taking a shower. I could go on and on. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay as far away as you can from hunters glen. Oh, and if you want to get direct TV cable hook up there is only one installer assigned by hunters glen that you have to use and pay his price, no specials from direct TV, direct TV installers are not allowed onto the property. Is this legal?

The pictures are hilarious. I'm also going to start taking pics of people in my court bringing stuff from the trash home.

WOW, you sound RACIST as hell. What is the matter with you? You are mad at the management because they won't call immigration on anyone who isn't white. That's how it sounds. And really, first you complain that they won't go into people's apartments unannounced, then you go into detail about how violated you feel that they go into YOUR apartment, completely announced and with good reason. And really, maybe you could be a little more compassionate and realize that maybe some people just don't have the money to dry their laundry in the dryer. I mean, how does it possibly affect you that they are hanging out their laundry? I find it unbelievable that you would file a written complaint over something that has absolutely NO AFFECT ON YOUR LIFE WHATSOEVER! If I could file a complaint against racist dumbasses who have absolutely no idea how to punctuate a sentence, I'll tell you, you'd be at the top of my list. And for the record, I don't live in this complex. I'm planning on moving to the area and I was doing some research, but I found your post so incredibly offensive, I just had to comment and let you know what an unbelievable jerk you are.
